Batman and a can of whoopass

Another commission piece for the Heroes Con 2010 in Charlotte, NC next weekend.  I did this piece thinking of Batman but with no real idea as to what he'd be doing.  Originally I was thinking of the Dark Knight Returns Batman laying down some whoopass on that ass of a Superman.  But it kinda just took a life of it's own.  So now it looks like he's just going to put a beat down on some poor suspecting baddies.

Green Lantern

Another Ivan Reis inspired piece. Man his stuff is amazing... I wish I could say the same. I'll tell ya, if I could draw like him, I'd be doing comics full time.

Darkest Night

It's been a long time since I've been inspired by any particular artist to this degree. The last time that happened - it was Uncanny Xmen Jim Lee... not the one after that with his kabillion hatch marks. The one that actually used blacks. To a lesser degree, Alan Davis, old school John Byrne, Adam Hughes, and Joe Mad. If I actually spent 12 hours a day drawing and practicing, the way Ivan Reis draws is the way I would draw. He sees things exactly the way I do. He's spankarific...!

Hulk versus Thor

Always wondered who would win this battle? God of Thunder or a genetically enhanced monster that gets stronger the madder he gets...? Hmmm...
